‘Flashback : Gyerim’, an immersive media art exhibition hall operated by Flashback Ground Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Dexter Studios (206560), a comprehensive content specialist, is launching a “Family Month” promotion.
Designed to lower the barrier to entry so that all family members can visit together, this promotion was conceived under the “Recalling Childhood” theme to allow families to capture their media art experience as a lasting memory.
For five days, from Friday, May 1, through Children’s Day on Tuesday, May 5, children born in 2014 or later can enter the exhibition for free, and up to two accompanying children can enter for free with the purchase of one adult ticket. A 20% discount is also applied to all visitors other than children, further increasing accessibility for families.
Additionally, all visitors entering the exhibition during the month of May will receive a scratch-off paper set to express their own childlike spirit. Among the 13 ‘Flashback : Gyerim’ exhibition contents, visitors who draw a picture of a memorable scene and submit it will receive an “Amulet Keychain for Purifying the Mind”—an original merchandise item featuring the evil spirit characters from the ‘The Guardians’ section of ‘Flashback: Gyerim’—on a first-come, first-served basis.
Flashback : Gyerim is an immersive media art exhibition that reinterprets the myths and folktales of the thousand-year-old Silla Kingdom with a modern sensibility. It offers a unique experience by combining a large-scale space spanning 1,700 pyeong (approximately 5,600 square meters) with a ceiling height of up to 11 meters and diverse content.
As the exhibition features content that blends Silla’s narratives with interactive elements, ‘Flashback : Gyerim’ is emerging as a rising educational destination for families in the Gyeongju area. The exhibition’s educational value is also gaining attention, evidenced by group visits from numerous educational institutions—including the “Southeast Regional Superintendents’ Council,” attended by superintendents from eight regions in southeastern Gyeongsangbuk-do, as well as local education offices, elementary, middle, and high schools, and universities.
