Dexter’s first original IP drama, “DIVE INTO YOU”, is set to enter the global market.
Dexter Pictures(CEO Kim Dong-hyun), a specialized content production company and subsidiary of Dexter Studios(206560, hereinafter “Dexter”), announced that “DIVE INTO YOU” is scheduled to premiere on the global OTT platform “Rakuten Viki”.
“DIVE INTO YOU” is a Korea-U.S.-Japan joint global project co-produced by Korea’s Dexter Pictures and Amuse Entertainment, the Korean subsidiary of Japanese entertainment conglomerate Amuse, with global OTT platform Rakuten Viki participating in investment and production. Dexter Pictures is a subsidiary of Dexter, which handles the planning, development, and production of films, dramas, and OTT content. This project marks the company’s second drama and its first original IP content.
Dexter Pictures, which achieved notable success last year with tvN’s ‘Head Over Heels’—including topping the ratings in its time slot for every episode and ranking third globally in the TV Show category on Amazon Prime Video—is drawing significant attention as it introduces its own IP-based content to the global market. Anticipation is also high for the multifaceted collaboration with Amuse Entertainment, an entertainment company spanning content, music, and management.
‘Dive Into You’ is a fantasy romantic comedy that depicts the story of dazzling young adults traveling between the past and present in an attempt to win back their first love.
The main cast includes actors Kim Ji-yeon and Park Seo-ham. Kim Ji-yeon (WJSN’s Bona), who has expanded her standing as an actress through leading roles in tvN’s “Twenty-Five, Twenty-One” and SBS’s “The Haunted Palace” will play the role of top actress “Yoon Ha-na.” Park Seo-ham, who rose to the ranks of the next generation of rising stars with the 2022 hit “Semantic Error” and has appeared in Disney+’s “The Murky Stream” and tvN’s “Our Universe” will play “Jung Woo-jae,” Yoon Ha-na’s childhood friend and bodyguard. The fresh pairing of Kim Ji-yeon and Park Seo-ham, two rising young stars, is drawing significant market attention to the project.
Rakuten Viki, a global OTT platform specializing in Asian entertainment, offers Asian dramas and films across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, India, and Southeast Asia. In particular, through its global subtitle service supporting up to 200 languages—including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French—it is enhancing content accessibility for viewers worldwide and leading the global expansion of Asian content. Notably, “Dive Into You” is garnering significant attention as Rakuten Viki’s first project in which the company is participating in the investment and production of a K-drama, rather than simply acquiring content licenses.
