Dexter Studios is looking to boost its sales with a new order for VFX expected to go into a TV series by Story & Pictures Media.
Dexter Studios (206560), a company specializing in VFX and content production, announced on June 8 that it has been commissioned to work on a TV series produced by Story & Pictures Media titled “C” (tentative title). The contract is reportedly worth KRW 3.8465 billion in total, including KRW 132 million for pre-production and KRW 3.714.5 billion for the main contract, and will run from June 7 to April 30, 2024.
Previously, Dexter Studios worked with Story & Pictures Media on a TV series back in November 2022 called “B” (tentative title) after signing a VFX contract worth KRW 6.2 billion. That contract, which began on November 29, 2022, is set to expire on August 15, 2023.
Established in 2017, Story & Pictures Media has produced various works, starting with the production of JTBC’s “Misty,” tvN’s “Romance is a Bonus Book,” MBC’s “The Spy Who Loved Me,” and KakaoTV’s “Lovestruck in the City.” The company has a great reputation across the industry for its solid storylines, sophisticated directing, and great content planning.
An official from Story & Pictures Media said, “This is a TV series that we’ve been planning and developing for a long time, and it requires high-quality VFX work.” He added, “With the best VFX studio in Korea taking care of the VFX, we’re looking forward to putting content out there that will satisfy countless viewers going forward.”
Meanwhile, a Dexter Studios official said, “We started working with Story & Pictures Media last year, and our VFX technology has helped our client improve the quality of its content. Now that we’ve secured another contract from Story & Pictures Media, we want to do our best to deliver the best VFX and work closely together to produce top-quality content.”
