On April 20, Dexter Studios signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Technology Research Institute for Culture and Heritage (TRIC), Gyeongsangbuk-do Government, Gyeongju-si Government, and Gyeongju World Culture Expo at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government Complex on launching “Project Gyerim,” a media art exhibition at spaces available inside the Gyeongju Expo Grand Park.
A media art exhibition, which has become a rising trend in the culture and art market, is an exhibition event that combines various digital technologies with artworks, and offers the advantage of enabling audiences to enjoy unique experiences with highly immersive exhibition content.
Media art exhibition Project Gyerim will make visitors feel as if they have been transported back to ancient Silla using cutting-edge exhibition techniques such as giant sculptures, projection mapping, kinetic art, and dynamic lighting. Stretching across 10,000m2, the project is expected to require a total budget of roughly KRW 15 billion
Dexter Studios will participate in the production and operation of media art content and also make a sizeable investment in the project. TRIC, which is a global digital heritage company, has participated in various cultural-related public projects. It plans to take care of the overall planning and production of content, and also serve an advisory role in terms of the historical and technical accuracy of productions.
