Dexter Studios garnered significant attention in Europe for its technological prowess and production capabilities across diverse fields including theaters, OTT platforms, films, dramas, and immersive content.
Content specialist Dexter Studios(206560, hereafter Dexter) solidified its position as Asia’s leading VFX company by being the only Asian firm officially invited to the ‘Paris Images Digital Summit ENGHIEN 2026’ held in Paris, France from the 21st to the 24th(local time).
The Paris Images Digital Summit is a global event dedicated to the visual effects (VFX) and digital imaging industries, held in Enghien-les-Bains, France, designated by UNESCO as a ‘Creative City of Media Arts’. It is recognized as a platform where decision-makers from the global VFX industry, including Europe, gather to diagnose industry changes and discuss future strategies, going beyond mere technology exhibitions or work showcases.
This year’s event saw participation from numerous representatives, including the French National Center for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC), which oversees French film and video industry policy, major European VFX studios, and related industry organizations. Attendees included internationally renowned French director Luc Besson and Richard Edlund, a founding member of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) – famous for its work on the ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Avatar’ series – and an Academy Award-winning ‘legend of visual effects’. Dexter Studios was invited as a key participant to present new directions for the VFX industry.
Dexter’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Kim Hye-jin, took the stage as a speaker during the business session. She shared Dexter’s vision for expanding into a ‘multi-format content studio,’ building upon the technical competitiveness and know-how accumulated as a leading VFX company in Asia. Alongside Dexter’s comprehensive post-production capabilities, she introduced the company’s business strategy spanning film, drama, and immersive content. This includes recent self-produced content like ‘Head Over Heels’ and Korea’s first immersive media art exhibition with historical storytelling, ‘Flashback : Gyerim’.
Kim Hye-jin stated, “Dexter has built an ‘all-in-one pipeline’ that combines comprehensive capabilities spanning VFX (visual effects), DI (color grading), sound, virtual production, R&D, and even content production.” She added, “Dexter’s greatest competitive advantage lies in creating a business structure where technologies and expertise across all fields organically generate synergy throughout the entire content production process, rather than just handling one stage of production.”
Dexter also participated as a panelist in a roundtable discussion titled ‘The VFX Industry: Entering a Period of Great Transformation’. Kim Hye-jin joined leaders from global VFX studios like MPC, Rodeo FX, and 1000 Volt as a discussant, exchanging views on changes in the global production environment driven by AI advancements and future industry strategies for the VFX sector.
Kim Hye-jin stated, “It is meaningful to introduce Dexter Studios as a partner discussing the future of the VFX industry at this gathering of global leaders in the field,” adding, “Dexter Studios will strengthen its position to become a company presenting a vision for the entire content production industry, beyond just VFX.”
Meanwhile, Dexter is reviewing and progressing numerous projects with production companies and overseas partners, steadily expanding its production participation base.
