Dexter Krema showcased some of its past projects and strengths, specifically linked to virtual production (VP) in advertising production. In doing so, it highlighted the synergies created by Dexter Group, the only company in Korea engaged in all content fields, including films, dramas, OTT, exhibitions, and advertisements, while also introducing the company’s VP technology.
Dexter Krema, an AI digital marketing subsidiary of content specialist Dexter Studios [206560], announced on September 12 that its co-CEOs, Dong Jin Son and Song Gyeong Woon, spoke at the Content Marketing Summit (CMS 2024) on January 11. CMS is Korea’s largest content marketing conference, sharing industry trends and changes in brand strategy, storytelling, media, and entertainment. Experts, brands, and agencies in the field gather to discuss the latest trends, successful strategies, innovative cases, and technological content.
This year, notable speakers included former Nike CMO Greg Hoffman, Allen, the former creative producer of the world’s number one YouTube channel MrBeast with 300 million subscribers, and Jang Ho-gi, producer of Netflix’s “Physical: 100.”
Dong Jin Son, co-CEO of Dexter Krema, gave a presentation during the virtual marketing session titled “Virtual Production: Opening a New Chapter in Next-Generation Marketing.” He explained the current state and development of the technology, as well as next-generation trends in response to changing times. Son emphasized the “need to focus on the expansion of virtual production, not just as an efficient production method but as a stage for creators to express their inspiration,” proposing a new perspective.
Based on their collaboration with Dexter’s in-house virtual studio D1, which recently completed an Amazon Prime Video project using Korea’s first VP technology, Son also presented specific workflows and advantages of Dexter Krema. He mentioned that virtual production enhances the immersion and safety of models and actors, simplifies location permits, and mitigates on-site factors such as weather and lighting. Additionally, Son said virtual production can improve convenience in set design and post-production. He added, “Virtual production allows for filming in locations that are difficult to visit in person, significantly reducing costs and time. It offers flexibility in set changes and lighting control as well.”
Meanwhile, Dexter Krema participated in the CMO Korea Summit 2024, which was held for the very first time in Korea on September 3. This premium event, which is 100% invitation-only, targets marketing executives and general managers to discuss industry challenges and solutions. Dexter Krema showcased its “one-stop” personalized AI marketing solution, Adplorer, and its influencer marketing AI integrated solution, Linkplorer, to numerous large enterprises, further solidifying its position in the marketing field.
