Dexter Studios(KOSDAQ: 206560), a leading content technology company, announced the official launch of ‘CubeCore’—a total storage solution integrating its proprietary high-performance architecture with a dedicated storage operating system (OS)—marking its full-scale entry into the enterprise storage market.
CubeCore is an in-house developed, high-performance storage solution engineered to reduce dependency on costly foreign storage products and to build an optimized file system for demanding work environments. Dexter Studios is expanding this technology commercially for enterprises and institutions that require robust AI infrastructure as well as high-performance, high-capacity storage systems. Notably, CubeCore’s performance and stability have been thoroughly proven under high-intensity computing environments, handling massive volumes of computer graphics and high-resolution video data in real time for VFX (Visual Effects) projects, such as blockbuster films and ultra-high-definition media art.
CubeCore’s hardware is designed to build optimal infrastructure by combining flash, disk, or a hybrid architecture of both, with a heavy emphasis on scalability to seamlessly meet both current and future enterprise needs. ‘CubeCore OS’ is an ultra-lightweight, dedicated storage operating system that maximizes I/O performance. It features essential security and operational tools—such as ransomware-resistant snapshots (typically found in expensive foreign solutions), background cloning, and authority management systems—all delivered through a user-tailored UI.
Dexter Studios plans to target domestic public institutions, research institutes, and IT companies by offering key competitive advantages: custom workload fine-tuning based on its proprietary OS, and a self-developed infrastructure architecture featuring high-density, low-power design.
With the surge in AI infrastructure driving up prices, causing supply delays, and increasing technical lock-in to foreign hardware suppliers, Dexter Studios identifies this as the ideal time to enter the market with a solution backed by domestic R&D and production, proven performance, and cost efficiency.
The company has completed KC certification and High-Efficiency Standby Power certification for its entire lineup of self-designed storage hardware. This includes the ‘X Series’ (NVMe All-Flash storage designed for ultra-low latency operations like real-time high-intensity AI computing and machine learning), the ‘E Series’ (high-performance server virtualization solutions), and the ‘D Series’ (optimized for high-capacity backup and archiving).
Jeong-hoon Lee, Head of IT Infrastructure at Dexter Studios, stated: “Driven by the explosion in AI infrastructure demand, Korea’s data storage market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 14.2% through 2033, reaching approximately USD 22.2 billion. However, according to a recent survey by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, domestic storage accounts for only 4.34% of the public sector market. Dexter Studios aims to establish a distinct market position by combining our product reliability—proven in demanding VFX workloads—with customized consulting and the strategic advantages of a domestic solution.”
