Dexter Studios(206560, hereinafter Dexter), a comprehensive content specialist company, has enhanced its immersive media art exhibition experience with its first dedicated space, ‘Flashback : Gyerim’. This exhibition allows visitors to walk through mythical spaces, featuring sculptural content inspired by the Silla national dragon legend.
Flashback : Gyerim, unveiled by Dexter through its subsidiary Flashback Ground Co., Ltd., has officially launched its first outdoor content, ‘The Dragon’s Path’ in time for spring.
‘The Dragon’s Path’ is based on a Silla-era tradition stating that three waterways—Dongji, Cheongji, and Bunhwangsa Well—were once connected, and three national guardian dragons traveled along this path. Sharing the same universe as other dragon-themed exhibits like ‘Hamdalpa and the 28 Dragon Palaces’ and ‘The Sea Guarded by Dragons’ this content features light displays illuminating the deep sea and dynamic exterior walls evoking massive waves and dragons. It immerses visitors in the experience of walking through a mystical waterway into the deep sea. Visitors who pass through ‘The Dragon’s Path’ enter the ‘Hamdalpa and the 28 Dragon Palaces’ content, immediately encountering the deep-sea landscape of the mythical nation ‘Dragon Kingdom,’ ruled by 28 dragon kings.
‘The Dragon’s Path’ is the only outdoor content among Flashback : Gyerim’s 13 total experiences, offering a refreshing change of atmosphere beyond the indoor spaces. During the day, sunlight filters through the space, while at night, darkness and lighting blend together, alternating between images of the sunlit sea and the deep-sea underwater world. This contrasting atmosphere between day and night, along with the striking natural light, has made it a popular new photo spot, garnering enthusiastic responses from visitors.
Flashback : Gyerim is a storytelling media art exhibition that reinterprets the mythical narratives of the thousand-year-old Silla Kingdom with a modern sensibility. Combining a large-scale space spanning 5,600 square meters with a maximum ceiling height of 36 feet and differentiated content, it provides a cinematic experience. The unveiling of ‘The Dragon’s Path’ further enhances the narrative spatial structure, allowing visitors to traverse and experience the world of Silla folklore.
To welcome spring, Flashback : Gyerim is running a special discount promotion until Tuesday, March 31st. Packages like the ‘You and Me 2-Person Package’ and ‘Three or Five 3-Person Package’ offer a 20% discount, enhancing accessibility for groups visiting during spring outings.
Flashback Ground representative stated, “‘The Dragon’s Path’ is designed to make visitors feel as if they are entering a deep ocean world with each step they take,” adding, “We plan to continue introducing content and events throughout the exhibition that heighten immersion in the worldview.”
