Dexter Studios says it won a new VFX contract worth KRW 6.2 billion. Previously, on November 9, Dexter Studios also announced that it had signed another contract worth KRW 6 billion, bringing the total sales tally to KRW 12.2 billion this month alone.
Visual effects (VFX) and content company Dexter Studios said on November 28 that it had secured a contract to supply VFX technology to the production company Story & Pictures Media. The contract worth KRW 6.2 billion will run between November 28, 2022, and August 15, 2023.
Founded in 2017, Story & Pictures Media has led a number of projects to success, including JTBC’s hit K-drama Misty, tvN’s Romance is a Bonus Book, MBC’s The Spy Who Loved Me, and Kakao TV’s Lovestruck in the City.
An official from Dexter Studios said, “We plan on working with Story & Pictures Media, which is renowned for its attention-grabbing stories and sophisticated production, to deliver more successful results using our best VFX technology.”
Meanwhile, earlier in the month, Dexter Studios signed a contract with Climax Studio as its VFX partner to work on K-drama “A (tentative title).” Dexter Studios is expected to complete this project, worth KRW 6 billion, by the second half of next year. Climax Studio caught the industry by storm, producing D.P. and Hellbound for Netflix, and Bargain for Tving, which is why all eyes and ears across the media industry are focused on Climax Studio’s next K-drama series.
